Someday : Run, Chris! Run!
(Or "What Vin did after Sam dropped her little bomb")

By: Lady Angel

Notes: This is a series, and while it really doesn't have a timeline, this particular story should be read after Someday Series I: The Crush.

To Linda for letting me play in her universe and to Karen for her betaing.

"LARABEEEEEEE!"

Mary's head jerked up in alarm at the sound of her husband's name being screamed, then she frowned as she realized it was Vin Tanner who was doing the screaming. Her eyes sought her husband with a question in them.

Chris simply shrugged. "In here, cowboy."

"Don't you 'cowboy' me, you bastard!" Vin stomped into the Larabee kitchen with Alex on his arm ... literally. The lady doctor had a death grip on her husband's arm, trying to use all her weight to slow him down.

Alex barely managed a warning through her laughter. "Chris! Run! He's going to kill you! Mary, HELP!"

Mary didn't know what the hell was going on but she rushed to help her friend hold back Vin. Even with the two women on him, Tanner threw himself against his ex-best friend.

"What the HELL!?!?!?!?! OOOF!" Larabee went down hard as his best friend, his best friend's wife, and his own wife landed squarely on his legs. Chris lay on the ground, completely stunned, then he got pissed. "What. The. Hell. GET OFF, you idiot!"

Chris struggled to push Vin off even while the younger man tried to make another grab for him. Fortunately, Mary, Alex, and their skirts got in the way.

"Well, hell, someone's havin' an orgy and they forgot to invite us, Inez!" One could just hear the smirk in Buck Wilmington's voice.

"Shut the hell up, Buck! And get this idiot off of me!"

Buck was still grinning as he dragged the struggling Vin off Chris.

Inez lent a hand to her two friends. "What is going on?" she demanded.

Chris threw up his hands. "I have no fuckin' idea! This yahoo just comes in here screamin' and swingin'!"

"Vin?" Mary stood, arms crossed, foot tapping, and glared down at Vin. "What's this all about?"

Vin didn't answer, he simply continued to glare at his ex-best friend.

Alex leaned against her husband, trying not to laugh. She wasn't succeeding.

"Alex?" Inez prodded.

Alex could barely answer, she was laughing so hard. "Sam ... she ... said that Chris had ... had a really 'nice' ... 'nice' butt!"

Mary and Inez smirked while Buck catcalled both his friends.

"Well," Inez sighed. "It's perfectly understandable."

"Hmm," Mary agreed, glancing at her two friends.

All three grinned mischievously. "It's the jeans!"

The three women laughed hysterically as Vin once again lunged for the jean-clad gunslinger, who was hastily scrambling out of the way ... vowing his revenge.
