Morgan - Samoyed
Morgan
Morgan and I attended the puppy obedience class and had a wonderful time. Judy's techniques model the patience and persistence needed to train young puppy brains, and she helps the owners see the value of consistency and gentle discipline. Judy demonstrated how quickly puppies learn and how they need the constant reinforcement and practice in order to retain what they've learned. Most of all, training does not require loud voices--dog's hear you just fine, you just need to get their attention and praise them. Linda
Peppie's Graduation - Therapy dog - Miniature Poodle
Peppie - Therapy Dog
Peppie and I took basic clicker training from Judy at Pawfect Manners. We both loved the experience and learned so much. Judy (and Shiloh) are patient and the training is reward based and not punishment based. I liked that because I do not believe any dog learns good behavior from punishment. Peppie had some special challenges as he was an abused rescue, but he learned quickly and enjoyed the process. Peppie is a certified hospice pet therapy dog. Good behavior is so important as he interacts with patients and their family. Judy did a wonderful job and gave us skills we continue to use today.
Portia - hospice Badge - Miniature Poodle
Portia is Peppie's sister. While she didn't attend a class, she benefitted from Peppie's class and has now earned her Hospice Badge too!
Ally - Mini Aussie
Ally, FM
Judy and Shiloh-What a great team.
I attended puppy obedience classes with my very young (and wild) Ally, a Mini Australian Shepherd. We had a wide variety of sizes and breeds of puppies in our class. Judy and Shiloh were able to relate to all of us. Although Judy is very serious about her training and techniques, she has a way of making everything fun, and a lot of her training is based on teaching your dog the basics with games and play. We took our classes about 3 years ago and only see Judy every few months at flyball tournaments, but Ally still gets SO EXCITED every time she sees Judy - she really loves her instructor.
Thanks for your excellent work.

Ringo - Yorkshire terrier
Ringo
We took my Yorkshire terrier to Pawfect Manners to gain some insight on how to properly train our dog. It was a great experience for us all and we gained so much knowledge and information when we were there. It wasn't just training our dog, but us (his owners) as well! Judy was a great teacher and gave us plenty of information on what the basics were to properly train our dog and especially our problem areas on what we needed to do to correct ourselves. Thanks again Judy!
Spur - Australian Shepherd
Spur
I cannot tell you how pleased we have been with what we learned in our "Puppy Class". Recently, we were at the Dog Park and several people commented to me how well behaved Spur is. They seemed amazed that he actually came to me when I called him, didn't jump up on me or other owners, and best of all, he plays well with others !! I tell everyone that he learned all that in Puppy Class !!!! Thanks for helping us to always have a great time together !!! Nan
