Class Applications & Requirements

Vaccine Requirements For Dogs

Classes are held at Kleinbrook Animal Hospital. For the safety of all pets attending classes, proof of the health and vaccination status of your pet will be required. Any pet that is coughing, sneezing, vomiting or having diarrhea will be asked to leave.


All puppies must be at least 8 weeks old and have proof of examination by a veterinarian. Minimally, the first DHPPC and Bordetella must have been given 10 days prior to attending class. Subsequent vaccines must be administered within 3 to 4 weeks and be kept up to date. You will need to bring proof of vaccination as they are updated.


Puppies 4 months or older must have proof of examination by a veterinarian, a Rabies vaccine, and at least the first DHPPC and Bordetella vaccine to attend class. Subsequent vaccines must be administered within 3 to 4 weeks and be kept up to date. You will need to bring proof of vaccination as they are updated.


Adult dogs must have proof Rabies vaccine, DHPP and Bordetella vaccine to attend class. The State of Texas and Harris County Rabies protocols will be followed. DHP vaccines may be given on a 3 year basis as long as the dog has had initial puppy vaccines and followup DHP booster a year later. Bordetella vaccinations are only valid for 6 months.

Vaccine Requirements For Cats

Only kittens from 8 to 16 weeks will attend classes.


All kittens must be at least 8 weeks old and have proof of examination by a veterinarian. Minimally, they must be tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids and the first FVRCP must have been given 10 days prior to attending class. Subsequent vaccines must be administered within 3 to 4 weeks and be kept up to date. You will need to bring proof of vaccination as they are updated.

The first night of class, do not bring your pet unless otherwise instructed.


For dogs please bring:

  • A well-fitting flat collar (buckle or snap) or a Martingale collar
  • A 6 foot leash
  • Clicker
  • A fanny pack or other pouch to carry treats in
  • Soft treats - NOT KIBBLE!
  • Chew toy/Kong
  • Wear rubber soled shoes - No dress shoes, flip flops or sandals please
  • Poop bags - to pick up after your dog

For kittens please bring:

  • Cat carrier
  • A well-fitting harness
  • A thin 6 foot leash
  • Clicker
  • A fanny pack or other pouch to carry treats in
  • Soft treats - NOT KIBBLE!
  • A small plate or butter dish lid
  • A clean towel

Class Application

Please fill out the application completely and e-mail or snail-mail it to Judy Seils c/o the address on the application. A payment sent with the application will secure your place in the class you want. The payment will be refundable until the first day of class. Proof of vaccination will be required before the pet can attend.
